Important Announcement Regarding COVID-19
Posted on 03/16/2020

We want to update you all on several things happening in our area as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

When possible, we are asking that payments for utility bills be made online or through the drop-box in the parking lot at the Municipal Building. This will be an efficient way to get your payments in on time, and reduce risk for both you, your family and our workers. Click here to make an online payment.

We are also asking you to send in your requests for Town decals by mail if possible. Please send your request for a decal with a self-addressed envelope, a copy of your registration, payment and a valid phone number should our Finance Department need to call with any questions they may have. Please send your payment and other info to P.O. Box 660, Pulaski, Virginia 24301. Auto decals are $25, motorcycles are $8, and trailers are $7.50. This is not the required method for obtaining a decal, but a recommendation to decrease social contact. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Finance Department’s direct number at 540-994-8640.

Effective immediately, the Pulaski Senior Center will be closed for the foreseeable future. The weekly Musical Jam Session held at the Historic Train Station is also being postponed until further notice. The health of our seniors is critical to us, and we want to take every measure possible to ensure their well-being and safety. We will have our Senior Center staff available to assist our seniors who may be in need. They can be reached by calling 540-994-8628.

In regards to Town sponsored events, the Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for April 4th is now cancelled. Just like our seniors, the well-being of our children is of the utmost importance. Follow our Facebook page and website for updates on cancelled or postponed Town events and meetings.

We ask that you closely follow advice from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) on how to mitigate and prevent the spread of COVID-19, as well as staying up to date on safety recommendations put forward by our State and Federal governments. Click here for a link to the VDH’s website will provide you with a wealth of resources on how to protect you and your family.

These changes and others happening in our Town and surrounding communities are going to impact everyone’s lives over the near future. We understand that these changes may inconvenience some, but please know that any change made is out of an abundance of caution for you and your families. Times like this are when it’s important to remember that Pulaski and the New River Valley are incredibly resilient, especially when we come together as one unifying force. We will continue to update you with any new information as this situation evolves. Please contact our Town offices at 540-994-8600 if you have any questions about the topics mentioned here.
