Ratcliffe Museum Hosting Fall Break Event

Fall Break Event being held by Ratcliffe Museum

Pulaski County’s students will receive a nice break on the 18th of this month, getting the Friday off from school for Fall Break. I know they’re excited because like any kid, a legitimate reason to not be in school on a Friday is about as good as it gets. That doesn’t mean they’ll be wanting for activities to keep them busy, though.

The Raymond F. Ratcliffe Transportation Museum will be hosting a Fall Break event on the 18th, offering your children a chance to take advantage of the fun activities they have planned. The biggest item on the day’s schedule is the plan for making a plant-able work of art; they’ll take seeds and pods from the beautiful gardens around the Museum, planting them to see the end result when things begin to bloom again in the spring. It’ll help show the kids how exciting the payoff from a long-term project can be, while also helping make Pulaski a more beautiful place.

The Museum has drinks, snacks, and even more fun planned for the afternoon including hanging out in the Museum itself. The schedule is planned to go from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., so it won’t take up your child’s whole day either. If you’d like to sign your child up, contact April Martin, Museum Coordinator at [email protected] or you can call during Museum hours at 540-980-2307. We hope to see you there with your little ones for a fantastic day!
