The Easter Bunny Pays a Visit to Pulaski

Easter Bunny Hops Through Pulaski

Easter is coming up this weekend, one of the most celebrated holidays across the United States, and perhaps more-so in the south. Plenty of families will spend their time together in celebration in church and at the dinner table afterwards. But for the kids, Easter oftentimes signals a very different celebration; the classic Easter egg hunt.

In Pulaski, the story is the same. With over 20 churches within our town limits, you can expect Sunday to be a very busy day across the town. But last weekend, the Town also hosted that kid favorite – our annual Pulaski Easter Egg Hunt. Starting bright and early, event volunteers were hard at work hiding eggs in Jackson Park which was divided into three separate age group areas. The hunt itself wasn’t scheduled to begin until 1 p.m.,  but there were several activities for the kids to enjoy in the meantime. Face-painting, cookie decorating and firetruck rides were there to keep the kids entertained while they waited for the main event. The Easter Bunny himself even stopped by to take pictures with the kids!

Once the hunt itself started, the kids could hardly contain themselves. The second group actually couldn’t wait, and were so excited to start finding candy they went in before the announcement to go! There were plenty of eggs for them to find, and along with the normal supply of candy and sweets there were also three golden eggs, one in each age group’s location. The lucky children who found the golden eggs went home with a brand new bicycle, courtesy of Pulaski Bikes! After the hunt was over, the grand prize winners were announced to the crowd.

This year’s Easter Egg Hunt was a total success, and it wouldn’t have gone nearly as well if it weren’t for all of the wonderful volunteers who helped out throughout the day. And last but not least, thank you to our sponsors! Without your help in the formation and planning of the event, the turnout and reception wouldn’t have been nearly as wonderful. Thank you all so much!
