Board of Zoning Appeals

The Board of Zoning Appeals is appointed by the Pulaski County Circuit Court to hear challenges to administrative decisions and established zoning regulations.  The BZA is established under Section 7.5 of the Town of Pulaski Zoning Ordinance.


Roles and Responsibilities

The Board of Zoning Appeals is responsible for hearing and acting upon petitions from applicants concerning three major areas:

1) Appeals of Administrative Decisions by the Zoning Administrator
2) Requests for Variances to regulations within the Town of Pulaski Zoning Ordinance
3) Interpretation of Established Zoning District Maps


Meetings

The Board of Zoning Appeals meets on an as-needed basis to review applications.  Meetings are held in the Council Chambers of the Town Municipal Building.  Please consult the Town Calendar for information on upcoming meetings of the BZA.  Agendas and Agenda Packets are uploaded to the Town Calendar when made available prior to the meetings.


Membership

Members of the Board of Zoning Appeals are appointed by the Pulaski County Circuit Court, based on the recommendations of Town Council.  Members serve 5 year terms.

Current members of the Board of Zoning Appeals are:

Sunshine Cope, Chair (Term Expires November 2025)

Barry Hale (Term Expires March 2025)

Markie Quesenberry (Term Expires September 2024)

Dan Talbert (Term Expires January 2023)
