Many people feel that radio is a dying media vehicle, that it’s already a thing of the past. But the Pulaski Radio Show defies that outlook. On the fourth Saturday of every month, they kick off one of the best live radio shows around. That’s right, live radio.
While broadcasting from the Pulaski Theatre, they also allow people to join in the fun and watch directly from the crowd. With a large venue, they can fit an impressive crowd in the theatre; and a packed house is no stranger to the show.
Now, you may be thinking: What exactly happens at a live radio show? Well it’s a lot like listening to the radio in your car, with a few differences if you’re there to see it in person. They have a different musical guest every month, with this month’s guest being an awesome all-female trio by the name of After Jack. They have a modern sound that puts a twist on the bluegrass, gospel and folk elements of country music. But with each guest being unique every month, you’ll get a chance to hear from a lot of interesting musical styles.
Along with the music, they also have a lot of unique acts and opportunities for audience involvement. At the Halloween show last year they had a costume contest, at which the best dressed walked away with a cash prize. And on top of the audience involvement, they also do several acting skits unique to the radio show.
So if you’re looking for something fun to do on a Saturday night, think about coming out to the radio show down at the Pulaski Theatre. And if you can’t make it, you can always listen on the radio!
