There’s nothing better than arriving home to see your dog, and realizing they’ve been good while you were gone. That’s usually when you bust out the treats. But how about those dogs that don’t have a loving owner? Shelters all over the country are full of dogs that are absolute sweethearts, but for one reason or another they ended up without owners.
But the great thing about shelters is that they’re never closed for business. Those dogs will have the chance to find their home, and giving them a chance is the most important thing. But if you already have a dog and don’t have the space to bring home another, there’s still something you can do to brighten their day.
February 22nd is National Dog Biscuit Day, and the Pulaski Senior Center decided to capitalize on that holiday this year. They’re currently accepting donations at the center from anyone who would like to bring in treats for the dogs, and they plan on taking the treats to the Pulaski County Animal Shelter. They’re also taking anything else you’d like to donate to improve the lives of dogs at the shelter, such as canned dog food, toys, or dog beds.
And like we mentioned, the shelter is always open for business. If you’d like, stop by on the 22nd. We’re sure there will be a lot of happy wagging tails looking for their next family!
