We all know your regular checkup is a vital part of keeping yourself healthy. But sometimes it pays off to go a little more in depth than your average check up.
The Rotary Club of Pulaski and LewisGale Hospital will be hosting their 25th blood screening on Saturday, February 2nd from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. This blood screening is a wonderful service and opportunity for the residents of Pulaski and the New River Valley area. It will test for over 30 different markers including cholesterol, glucose, sodium, and red blood indices. Perhaps the most attractive part of this opportunity is the significantly reduced cost for the screening, at $35 per person. Following your test, your results will be sent to a physician of your choosing along with a copy of the results for you. After each test, the Rotary Club uses part of the proceeds gained to fund a local project in the Pulaski community, so you can be assured that your money is going to a great cause and organization.
Participants can register the day of the screening as walk-ins, or you can also contact Consult-A-Nurse at 1-877-242-2362 to pre-register. When you arrive for the screening, go to LewisGale Pulaski’s Cancer Center Main Lobby to get started. Part of the screening also asks that you fast for 10 to 12 hours before your test. Brunch will also be served to participants, so we hope to see you there!
