The Mountains of Music Homecoming is Back in Pulaski
Posted on 06/10/2019
The Crooked Road is a year-round event dedicated to traditional music lovers throughout Southwest Virginia, and this year the Mountains of Music Homecoming will return for the fourth time alongside The Crooked Road. Old-time, bluegrass, gospel, traditional singing and even more styles will be presented in over 40 different communities where this musical heritage lives and breathes.
In Pulaski, we have our own little slice of the pie that is the Mountains of Music Homecoming. Live music at The Marketplace, an old time jamboree with seniors out at the Pulaski Senior Center, and the Sounds of Summer Concert Series which will once again take place in Jackson Park. Along with the musical activities, several other opportunities to experience the culture and natural beauty of Pulaski are available, including a guided bike ride along trails leading from Pulaski to the Town of Dublin. There no shortage of activities for folks to enjoy along the Crooked Road in Pulaski.
And if the good times rolling in Pulaski aren’t enough to satisfy your musical sweet tooth, Pulaski is only one part of the The Crooked Road event. All of our neighbors (Wythe, Floyd, Giles, Montgomery and Carrol County) have even more amazing events lined up throughout the week. All you have to do to see what’s happening and when is check out the Mountains of Music website for their schedule of events. If you can’t make it to one of the activities in Pulaski this week, we’d still love for you to have a good time somewhere else!
